Terms of use
Version 2026-10-13
This is a draft. Our legal partner has not reviewed it yet. We publish it so you can see what we intend; the reviewed version will carry a new date.
These terms apply when you use the free Sammati scan or the customer portal. Sammati is a product of Dhruvaatma Systems Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to these terms.
What the scan is
- The scan is a read-only look at the public pages of a website. It reads at most 25 pages, follows the site's robots.txt rules, and does not log in, fill in forms or change anything.
- The score from 0 to 100 is indicative. It is produced automatically and is not legal advice.
- A website scan cannot see most of what the DPDP Act asks a business to do inside the company. So a high score, even 100, never means your business is "compliant".
- For advice on your own situation, talk to a qualified lawyer.
Acceptable use
- Scan only websites you own or are authorised to assess.
- Do not use the service to harm, overload or attack any website, including ours.
- Do not try to get around our limits, sign-in or security checks.
- Do not use the service to collect other people's personal data.
We may block or limit use that breaks these rules.
Your account
- An account is for one person. Do not share it.
- You must be 18 or older.
- We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep that code private. We will never ask you for it.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Our content
Our reports, templates and guides are for information only. They help you understand the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules. They are not legal advice, and you decide how to use them.
Liability
We work hard to make the scan accurate, but websites change and automated checks can miss things. We provide the free scan and the portal "as is". We are not responsible for decisions you make based on a score or report alone. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
Indian law applies. Which courts hear a dispute is to be confirmed by our legal partner.
