Consent
A person's clear yes to a specific use of their data.
Under the Act, consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, given by a clear action. A pre-ticked box or silence is not consent.
Consent covers only the purposes named in the notice, and a person can withdraw it as easily as they gave it.
