Significant Data Fiduciary
A business the Government names for extra duties because of the volume or risk of its processing.
The Government can notify a Data Fiduciary, or a class of them, as significant, based on factors such as the volume and sensitivity of data and the risk to people's rights.
Significant Data Fiduciaries carry extra duties: a Data Protection Officer in India, an independent auditor, and periodic impact assessments.
